What “skin type” really means?
When it comes to knowing your skin type, you should first know what skin type is. How can someone best indicate his own skin type and what are the main features of every type. After discovering your skins parameters, you can then perfectly decide which beauty products or skin care routine, works best for you.
It is also important to know that your skin type can change with time. To know your skin type is just as important to know when that type may change and vary during the time and environmental conditions.

Women with a typical oily skin have enlarged pores and an overall shiny appearance. But, when talking about the causes of an oily skin, hormones are one of the main reasons which directly affect this type of skin. A person with an oily skin might also need to change his diet. The food plays an important part in your skin’s health. Korean women tend to always eat as clean as possible due to this fact. Did you know that if you have an oily skin, moisturizer is a must too? Yes, just like any other skin type, after cleaning and exfoliating it, a proper moisturizer for oily skin is needed in order to get a balanced and healthy looking skin.
Despite what have caused a dehydrated skin which it might be by exposure to sun or the wind, or by water deficit through an inefficient water intake, this type of skin is prone to wrinkles and irritations. If you are experiencing these symptoms and your face looks scaly and dry, well, you probably have to immediately do something about it before it is too late! People with a dry skin tend to have no visible pores and even though it might sound like a good thing, it’s actually a perfect indicator of your skin’s hydration needs. If this is your type of skin, you should take care of it by washing, toning, and moisturizer twice as much as someone with an oily or any other skin type should.

Combined skin? But, what does it mean? Is it normal to happen? Well, it seems that it actually is…
A combined skin type is the type of skin where some areas of your face are oily and some others are dry! For example, you may be experiencing an oily skin on your T area but, under your eyes and on your cheeks it seems your skin desperately needs a hydration. A combined skin type is considered to be the most delicate one due to its complicated needs in different parts of the face. Dealing with to opposite types at the same time, requires some very specific and careful measures to be taken. People with a combined type of skin, often deal with occasional breakouts and their skin pores are very obvious, especially in the T area. Keep in mind that if your skin belongs to this type, you should not only apply products oriented to oily or dry skin only. The best thing to do is to have a gentle skin care routine with proper hydration and on the other hand, you need to control the oils with proper oil control products. It’s all about balance.

A sensitive type of skin is a hyperactive skin. This is the best description you can do to a sensitive skin. When having a sensitive or other said, intolerant skin, you tend to experience redness; your skin feels heating, tingling and sometimes itching. It may seem that every weather or emotional condition, affects your skin! And actually, they do… Sensitive skin reacts more than every other type of skin is the result of a decreased tolerance threshold. Responsible for this decrease is the barrier of the epidermis of skin which does not properly function in order to keep away all the potentially irritating and dangerous agents. If this is your skins type, you should keep in mind at least two things: be gentle on your skin by choosing as much as the natural product as you can, with minimal fragrance. And you should always wear sunscreen!

If you are not experiencing breakouts, redness, your skin doesn’t feel dry or only, and any other of the above-mentioned characteristic, chances are you are one of the lucky ones to have a normal skin type! E person with normal skin type has small pores, little or no breakouts, isn’t showing any loss of firmness, fine lines, bumps, uneven skin tone and no signs of sun damage.
But, what do you need to do if your skin is pretty normal? You should be once and for all convinced that, every skin type, even the normal on, needs its own skin care routine with its proper methods and products to be and stay as long as possible normal. You can consider yourself lucky but luck needs help too!
