Now that the New Year is right at the corner, we naturally look back on the past times and reflect about all of the things we could do better… The thing is, analyzing ourselves physically and mentally, is a healthy thing to do. It’s called “growing process”. Looking at all the areas we could do better at, and see what we can really improve at ourselves, should be something that needs to be done constantly by all of us.
There is nothing wrong with trying to figure out our flaws, our mistakes and try to fix them. 2016 might have been an amazingly good year for us, and still, it doesn’t mean we are perfect, right? Women do usually think more about their physical appearance than men, especially when it comes to beauty related issues.
Skin will probably be on every woman’s resolution list. We all know that having a beautiful and healthy skin, investments need to be made on the inside and also on the outside of our body. If you are like most of us, you probably have already thought about the changes you need to make in 2017 in order to achieve a better, healthier looking skin. Making some positive changes that will give instant results need a lot of commitments and willpower. But don’t worry… We’ve already created a simple, 5 step lists; with some essential skin care habits that every one of us needs to learn and practice them in our daily routine. Will a little effort, these steps can guarantee an amazing skin without any further changes needed to be made.
Get enough beauty sleep
Lack of sleep is one of the most important factors that cause skin issues reflected through acne, wrinkles, and black cycles. When we’re tired, with not enough sleeping hours, one of the most quickly skin changes will be shown at our complexion. It will be uneven, with a tired appearance. During night hours, our body is most metabolically active. That means it works cleaning our system from toxins. If this process is not fully completed, then, the left toxins will create weakness in our skin’s barrier by leading to many permanent issues. Experts recommend us to aim at least for 7 straight hours of sleep.
In 2017, never skip your daily sunscreen
Never! Using sunscreen on your face and neck is essential even on cloudy and rainy days. Sun rays are the number one cause of an aging skin. So, skipping sunscreen means you are exposing it to the most dangerous enemy leaving all the other “protectors” behind… the best thing to do is choose a sunscreen which contains both, UVA and also UVB protection. If you can, apply it twice a day!
Never pick up your sensitive blemishes
Touching the blemishes won’t make them disappear. You will just go to make it end badly. When picking blemishes, we create bleeding and oozing scab which both lead to deeper inflammation. Especially when our hands are not washed. Let the natural healing process happen and try to keep your face as clean as possible. This year is time to learn some good habits and never underestimate the power of self-healing. Our duty should only be to keep our skin clean and nourished. From inside and out.
Always take off your makeup before sleep
When leaving for many hours cosmetics on our skin, free radicals get damaged. They block the skin from getting the necessary air, leaving it dry, unnourished and dull. Our skin loses its ability to self-regenerate and keep a strong barrier. The best thing every woman should do is washing her face immediately after arriving home.
We don’t have to actually wait for the nighttime routine in order to remove all the unhealthy and dangerous cosmetics from our sensitive skin. We should all respect it more by creating some basic living conditions for it starting from day one of 2017…or we can start this habit right now…
Exfoliate regularly using only natural products
After each year, our skin loses its elasticity and ability to self-regenerate with the same power as it used to…So, what we should all do is take a little more care for it. Starting the renewal process by regularly exfoliating the skin is scientifically approved! Try to use a gentle face scrub with natural and active ingredients for the best effect. When we regularly exfoliate our face, the glue that holds the dead skin cells in our skin is removed by letting them out. The recommended amount of exfoliating the skin is at least three times a week.
